Alex and I are leaving for Bonn tomorrow afternoon.
We'll meet with my best friends and it's gonna be fun fun
fun as always....
We will stay at the Maritim Hotel in
Bonn - as VIP guests
.. wahhh.. can't believe
it! Looking forward to the sauna, the pool and the
cocktail bar - last time my friends and I had a great
time there and I think,
the cocktails had a little bit more alcohol in them as
usual ;)) It's good to
have friends everywhere in Germany and around the
world.
Speaking
of that - I just found out that one of my best friends (during
school) opened her own Café, the "Helena Bay Café",
in New Zealand! During our last years at school we went out
every weekend Thursday till Sunday - wild times :)))
So I will make sure to stop there when I get to visit this
beautiful country. Look at this view!!! Julia I envy you ;)
That
reminds me - Jack!! - you still owe us a slideshow evening
about your New Zealand trip! *g*

I went through some old photos today and found a lot of
memories. I told you about a course I took 9 years ago - it was
for students who wanted to become journalists. We were invited
by the "Konrad Adenauer Foundation" near Bonn. I
learned a lot and made some good friends. Anke if
you read this some day - miss you!
Enjoy the photos HERE

Now it's really autumn. We have the first heavy rainstorm -
but it is still way too warm for this
time of the year.
In
a week, it's Halloween.
I am thinking about going somewhere special - like Burg
Frankenstein. I guess it's a lot of fun - check out their
website here
! But I am not sure yet. Maybe I stay home and just
light my Jack O'Lantern.
Alex
and I are going to visit some of my friends over the weekend
We will stay in Bonn for one night, have dinner at a great
Chinese Restaurant (which is actually a ship) and hopefully
share some cocktails afterwards. Looking forward to this! Otherwise
I am very busy at the moment studying. It's a lot of work,
but also a lot of fun. My first "real" class
begins on 7th December and I am already excited! *g*

But in the meantime I wish you
a lot of fun decorating your house
the scary way ;)

Most of you know that I was born in Romania and lived there for
about 4 years. I just received some beautiful photos today and
I thought, I share them with you. You can enjoy them: here.
Funny enough, I spent the last night looking for photos and
stories about
Transilvania - what a coincidence :)
I'm thinking about traveling there next
year.... hm...we'll see.
|
|
I had a nice weekend, shopping,
taking walks, going to my favorite café aaaand watching Oprah
over and over again *g* "What do we want to do?"
"Let's watch Oprah!"

Btw. Alex, I promised you to upload our California
presentation. It's a zip file - just safe both ppt and song
in the same folder. Check out this LINK
on Tuesday morning ;)
I took a test today : The
Greek Mythology Personality Test (here)
My result:
Proteus
33% Extroversion, 13% Intuition, 72% Emotiveness, 38% Perceptiveness
Changing your shape to suit your situation, you are most like Proteus. More than anything else, you need to be wanted. You have a very strong work ethic, and are very adaptable, but are often unappreciated. You develop very strong personal loyalties, and will often maintain these personal relationships at a great expense to yourself. Convention and conformity are very important to you, and you find deviations from either to be very inappropriate. You tend not to burden those around you with your own problems.
Famous people like you: Mother Theresa, Jimmy Carter
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
|
You scored higher than 99% on Extroversion |
|
|
You scored higher than 99% on Intuition |
|
|
You scored higher than 99% on Emotiveness |
|
|
You scored higher than 99% on Perceptiveness | |

Today was another gorgeous day and time to visit my favorite
place. It is a glade in the forrest near my hometown. As a
child/teenager I always thought of this place as being
enchanted. I imagined fairies, trolls and dwarfs living in the
big trees, wholes or flowers. The atmosphere at this glade is
so peaceful and it is so quiet that you hear the leaves of the
trees blowing in the wind. And this place is home to the most
beautiful tree worldwide!
I love this place and it is very special to me.
That's why I only take very few special people there. But I can
share some photos with you: *my
secret place*
However with all these new TV series which
started during the last weeks, I spent more time in front of
the DVD player than outside *lol*
Battlestar Galactica - the third season made its debut the last
week! Yipeeehhh! And LOST also started with the 3rd season. And
there is more: The Nine, Studio 60, Jericho, Heroes,
Brothers&Sisters, Vanished .... wow so many new series to
watch! And then there also is CSI, Gilmore Girls, Desperate
Housewives.... - how do I find time to watch all this? Well, I
guess my DVD collection will grow and grow and grow

|
|
Me is sick. *sniff*
Wanted to leave for the weekend but I can't. Instead I will lay
on the sofa, light some candles, make some tee and cuddle with
my nap blanket and watch DVDs....
UPDATE:
watching the Star Trek Christie's Auction in New York online...
what prizes!!!!! WOW!! It's amazing!!! They just sold a Voyager
model for 110.000 Dollar!!!
If you want to watch the auction as well: *click
here*
Funny, I saw the German guy I met in Las Vegas sitting in the
room in NY - it's a small world *gg* And of course I've already
spotted the Okudas in the audience... I wish I could be there
as well, although there is no chance I could bid on anything *gg*

Time
for some Russell moments ;)
As you all know I love this
guy *g*
He is by far the best actor
of our time.
Now
he just finished one of his new movies called "A good
life". The story revolves around a London banker who
moves to Provence after inheriting a vineyard. But when he
arrives, he meets a California woman who claims that
she owns the place.
You can watch the trailer: here,
you'll find more info about this great movie:
here and more stills: here
. It opens USA November 10, 2006.

The next movie he is working on is "American
Gangster". Russell is joined
by Denzel Wshington in this movie. It's about a drug
lord who smuggles
heroin into Harlem during the 1970s by hiding the
stash inside the coffins
of American soldiers returning from Vietnam. With Brian
Grazer producing
and Ridley Scott directing - the "Gladiator"
and "Beautiful Mind" dream
team is together again. You can see some movie stills here
I am so looking forward to both of
the movies!! And I am glad that he keeps up working on good
movies alothough he now is a proud father of two ;)

Found it on the THUMB board (thanks Gina):
Free
Hugs
I was really moved by this video, the song, the idea, the
spirit.
So I would like to give you a free hug, enjoy the video!
|
I enjoyed the weekend and this
national holiday with my
family- a nice, quiet time. And of course I had some time to
take some nice walks through the woods. Picked some conkers...
and I made a little guy out of them - just like when I was a
child. Me and my cousin used to sit in my grandma's kitchen
and we did handicrafts. I felt like a 10 year old again *g*
Tomorrow one of my best friend will visit me *hurray* and I
already made a cake just for her! We have a lot to chat
about and I am looking forward to spend some hours with her.
The next weekend I will drive up
north and spend 3 days with my friends. We have no idea what
we will do, but I am sure it will be fun as always *g*

Autumn
Charlotte L. Riser
When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
Loveliest season of the year.

Las Vegas
A friend on our ConBoard
discovered a small video about the Las Vegas Star Trek
Convention. If you would like to feel the atmosphere of that
great weekend, you'll find the clip HERE.
Enjoy!
Getting ready for Gmex!
And speaking of cons - November is another con month! Some friends
and I will fly to Manchester to the Collectormania. The last
one was fun and I am sure this year will be too. They
already confirmed great guests : Brandon Routh, Dwight
Schultz, Bruce Spence, Miranda Otto, Joe Flanigan,
Michael Dorn and and and.... So our days will be filled
with panels, autographs, fotos and the nights with typical
English pubs ;) and not to forget shopping on Friday morning
at LUSH !
LUSH!
Mentioning Lush... omg...I am addicted. I love these
cosmetics, they smell like heaven! And they have flavours
you don't find in normal every day products you buy at the
supermarket or the perfumery. And the colors! Ice blue soaps,
grass green bath melts, sparkling shower gels. The creators
always develop a little story around their products and you
get the feeling they love them as much as you do. *Sigh*,
yes I am addicted! I can't understand people who just get
the cheepest shower gel and perfume in the supermarket, just
to save a buck... yuck! Interested in the best cosmetics
ever? Check it out HERE
Oktoberfest
I've never been to the Oktoberfest in my life and I
don't plan to go there -
because drinking with thousands of other people, who
only come to this
festival in order to get as drunk as possible, that's
not my world *g* However
Alex decided to check it out. Well, he got invited by
another investment bank
to the "wine tent" - I am waiting for his
report - have fun! ;)

folks would be glad of"

Wahhh ! We found it! We found the absolute best villa in
Orlando! It's huge and I mean HUGE *g* and it has:
- 7 Bedrooms
- 4 Bathrooms
- 30x17 foot pool
- Jacuzzi, large deck
- BBQ Area
- Basketball
- Games Room
- 9 TVs, Video and DVD players, Playstation 2
- PC with Internet Access, memory card readers and CD Burner
- Fully air-conditioned
- 2 living areas + 2 dining areas
How does that sound? I think it sounds greaaaaaaat and I
can't wait for this vacation to start.
The THUMB Away Team goes
west!

Well, you all know that I love the Sunshine State. I've been there so many times, visited so many places
and driving through the streets of Orlando feels like driving
through Frankfurt - lol.
The weather is great (besides the Hurricans ;) ), the beaches
are nice, they have great theme parks and most of the people
are sooo friendly aaaaaand they have dolphins and ...ok, ok
*g* I guess you get the picture -> I loooove this
place! *g* And hey the have HGTV and Oprah - well not
only in Florida... but... you know what I mean ;)
However, being there for only 2 weeks a year isn't really what
I have in mind. I wanna fly over whenever I want to and don't
spend a lot money on a hotel or renting a house.. soooo why not
buy a house there? Yap, you heard right ;) We seriously think
about buying a nice home there. It should be big enoug for 4-6
people so that we can rent it to tourists while we are not
there and it should still be cozy enough for two people fleeing
from the bad european winter weather. *brrrr*

I've already started to look for good offers - there are sooooo
many houses to choose from and they are SO cheap, compared to
what we have to pay here or in Switzerland. We think about
buying somewhere between Orlando, Daytona and Melbourne,
because most of the tourists are in that area.
I am so excited about this, to be honest I
could fly over tomorrow
Florida, here we come *g* Okay, going back to the offers now
..... Oh, did I mention that a MUST have is a pool ??? ;)))

Of all the States in East or West,
Unto my heart thou art the best
Here may I live, here may I rest
Florida, my Florida.

Photos of the day.......

It's Friday, tonight is the "Wine Festival" at
the
fountain court in Bad Nauheim and I am looking
forward to go there.
It's always a lot of fun and very crowded aaand the
wine is gooood ;)
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY Star Trek!!!!
And
a heartfelt thank you Gene Roddenberry for your vision!!
This show proved it had something different. It had a unique
life that would go on to exist beyond expectation. It stood
outside of time, as it tapped into universal themes and epic
struggles, and put the cosmos on notice. (startrek.com)

My other vacation photos are now online. You've seen the
convention pics, time for the beaches, the sun and the crazy
cities.
You'll see photos from Santa Monica, LA, Venice Beach, Pismo
Beach, Santa Barbara and of course Las Vegas, but this time
outside of the Hilton Convention Center ;) And you'll see a
lot of crazy people in Venice *g* Enjoy!
And I saw dolphins,
many dolphins!!! Unfortunately I was always too slow - each
time they jumped out of the water I wasn't ready, so you
only see their fin *sigh* ....but they were sooo cute. I
love these animals. I have seen a lot in Florida already,
but they never were that playful and had so much fun in the
water. It was amazing. Next time I am in Florida, I would
love to swim with the dolphins in Orlando....
You'll find the photos: HERE

Finally
justice is done!
I have waited for nearly half a year for this thing to happen
and now finally the day has arrived!
There are people out there who
think they can talk bad about fellow men, who can accuse them
of criminal acts, who are so arrogant and so self-assured that
they think they will succeed in ruining other people's
reputation.
Unfortunately I know some of these people and was one of the
victims of their smear campaign. Thank God, that I only know a
few people in my life who are so dull and so mean. And thank
God, that there is some justice in this world, which was now
done. People will finally get to know the truth about some
things which happened this March and this will make these few
dull people look reaaaaally silly. Seems like time didn't work
for them ;) How
do you feel now - idiot!?
I will indulge myself in watching more of their excuses and
more of their lies - with the legal system on my side, this
will be a joy! So bring it on ;)
And once again I want to thank the many people and friends
who stood by my side, who supported me, who helped me with
encouraging words, with their knowledge or just with their
presence. This whole thing had one positive effect. I got to
know my real friends - THUMB people you ARE the best (!) and I
made a lot of new friends.
I got help from all different sides which surprised me a
lot.
Thanks, I will always remember that. I owe you something
;)
And another thing I learned from this - some people
really have
dark sides and don't give a dime for what they do to you.
But I
think these guys will get their share someday. Especially
those who
sit in a glashouse and throw with stones.

I'm back from a
wonderful vacation. Boy, we had so much fun.
First we enjoyed the "40th Anniversary Star Trek
Convention" in Las Vegas. That rocked! I've never been
to a con with sooo many sooo great star guests. I loved it!
Shatner, Nimoy, Bakula, Mulgrew, Brooks, Spiner, Frakes,
Westmore, Roddenberry and and and ... they all had great
stories to tell and most of them were hilarious. It wasn't
cheap, but it was well worth it. And I am already thinking
about flying to the next convention - August 2007 ;)
All
the fans who bought the weekend packages got a soft
wristband and a lanyard with a badge (see right picture). We
also all got a gold Star Trek Coin,
featuring "Enterprise". It is a beautiful special
limited edition collectors item:

I can' describe the
feeling on Saturday evening at the "Champagner
Toast" where thousands of fans drank to the 40th
anniversary of the beloved show and to Gene Roddenberry, who
would have turned 85 that very special day! They got me
teary-eyed and I had goosebumps. After the toast we enjoyed
a concert by Robert Picardo and the great James Darren -
what an experience!!
Well, I think instead
of going on rhapsodizing about how great it was - just take
a look at my photos, which show you the highlights of the
best con ever: *click
here*
And of course I got a
lot of autographs and met some old friends and made some new
friends :)
This is the one
piece I am most proud of:

and this I got from a very nice
man or should I say, a very nice Gorn? ;) It was so nice to
meet you Bobby and I had a great time in Santa Monica ! :)
|
|

See you on the 2nd September

Las Vegas - here we come!!!!!!!!
|
|
Watching Battlestar
Galactica - it's so much better in English than it is in
German ;)
But I hate Number Six, doesn't matter if she talks German or
English! That bitch...
While watching the
show I did another drawing. It shows one of my favorite
characters in the "Lord of the Rings" movie, even
though he was cut out ;)
The "Mouth of Sauron":

|
|
Mine, mine, mine :)

I got my new camera today - a Canon PowerShot
S3 IS *hurray*
Las Vegas - we're coming!!
A THUMB Poster!
Because we all love the black and white posters you can buy at
the UK conventions, I decided to make one for THUMB. So, here
it is:

(There are some members missing, because
they didn't have high resolution fotos)

In
order to keep my mind off the terrible loss in my little
family - :( - I looked for something I can do to keep
me busy. Maximus, my other rabbit is feeling lonely as well
and we cuddle a lot *sigh*
I
made these wallpaper today:

And
I made a new drawing (pencil) and transformed it into a
wallpaper, meet my Captain Jack Sparrow:

Rest in peace.
I will never forget you!

Just this
side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone
here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so
they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends
are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health
and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and
strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days
and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left
behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are
intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from
the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him
faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be
parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Ich vermiss Dich ganz schrecklich!!!!
|
|
While cleaning up my
home office I found an old magazine: The "Student
Press" featuring one of the first reportages I ever
wrote and it also shows some old fotos. I nearly forgot
about it and it was a nice surprise :) The article is about
the "Formula One" at the Nürnburg Ring in
Germany. Probably I should start writing again ;)

 Happy
Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear THUUUUMB....
It's
this time of the year again!!
It's more fun than easter and christmas together, it's
party time, it's BBQ time, it's time for lost Sangria
bottles, for searching the most hidden loo, for Tequila
shots and strange lemons, for campfire, sparkler and marshmallows,
it's time to celebrate true friendship!!!
I will leave for the big party tomorrow evening. And I still
have to pack *panic* Why do I always have to take so much
with me? ;) but to be honest, I can't wait to sleep in a
hotel room with A/C. I am melting away.... this is the 7th
week in a row with temps in the high 90s - it's crazy!!
My parents leave for the States on Sunday.
They will travel through California for 2 weeks.
Have fun guys, enjoy! You deserve it!
I will take care of the cat while they are gone - I am
curious how it will get along with my rabbits ;) "Pet
War - Part 1" *ggg*

|
Huaaaaaaaaa!!!
They just added Scott Bakula to the guest list in
Vegas!!!
Huaaaaaaaaa!!! His autograph isn't cheap, but I bought a ticket
for getting one, because he is the only one missing on my crew
picture!!
Huaaaaaaaaa!!!
|
If
you look for a nice restaurant in Frankfurt, be sure to
check out "The Ivory Club".
I had the best "Original
M-Style Blackened Filet" - yummy!!!
We'll be back for sure! ;)
The last July weekend is THUMB's
3rd anniversary and we will celebrate it in Düsseldorf -
it's a THUMB tradition! This year nearly all members will
attend, only 2 don't have time to join us from Friday till
Sunday - a new THUMB record!!
I am so looking forward to it. This "Thumbting" is
always
something special and
this year it really means a lot to me.
It's going to be pure fun and if I am lucky, we have
to
celebrate something special. But I have to wait and
see ;)

"At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human
stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and
justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and
proselytizing zeal.." (Aldous Huxley)
How true is that? ;) And sometimes people don't even realize how
stupid they are. They talk so bad about others behind their
back, try to ruin friendships and wonder
why those people answer back.
I am glad that I have so many people in my
life I can trust. True friendship is so rare in this world, you
have to treasure it!
"The making of friends, who are real friends, is the
best token we have of a man's success in life." (Edward
Everett Hale)
|
|
When are we going to
repeat this??? ;)
"If
it's not fun, you're not doing it right” ;)
“Live
life fully while you're here.
Experience
everything.
Take
care of yourself and your friends.
Have
fun, be crazy, be weird. "

Isn't
the weather in Germany amazing during the last weeks? I can't
remember to have so much sun for so many weeks without a break!
I am outside every day, riding my bike, taking a walk or going
to the pool. I am getting used to these temperatures - training
for Vegas ;)
|
We had such a great time at the Maritim in Bonn.
Thanks to those
who made it possible and greetings to
our new friends :)
If you wanna watch a funny movie - go and watch
"Over the hedge" - hilarious! William Shatner as
Ozzie! "Must... move... toward... the light!" *lol*
My favorit is Tammy. "The cookie is junk!!!"
"But I want the cookie" - rofl!!!!!!
You will love it - promised ;)
|
|
She is on her way!!!
LIFTOFF OF THE SPACE
SHUTTLE DISCOVERY - Returning to the Space Station...while
paving the way for future missions beyond....
Godspeed Discovery!!!

First of all - Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!

And now back to the
London Film and Comic Con! You can find more fotos HERE.
It was really a great convention! Elijah Wood was so
modest and nice and also all the other guests - they always
took their time to chat with their fans, the panels were very
interesting and the dealers - wow ;) Some of my friends spent
serious money there *g*
I am sure we all will be back next year!
|
Uhuuuuuuuuu - It was great!!!
We had a blast and enjoyed every second of it! Great show Showmasters!!! Amazing
guests! Well organized, lovely staff. We met a lot of new and
old friends. And even though Lee had to cancel, we didn't miss
him a bit.
However, we had looong days and not much sleep - so it's bedtime
now! More on the show and a lot of fotos will follow tomorrow.
Oh and before I forget it - big thanks to Nathan who was one of
the best con guests I every met! *sigh*
|
|
My cat is sick :(
We have been to the hospital today and he got some infusions.
Poor little thing. The doctor said, he will be ok, but it's
hard to see such a small creature so apathic.
And
another sad story! Bruno, the bear from Bavaria, was shot dead
in the Alps. He was killed by a hunter this night! I can't
believe it!! Why couldn't they just capture him. The first bear
in Germany for over 170 years and we kill him!??? For crying
out loud, what is wrong with this country??? The
Bavarians - so typical!! A "problem bear" - ha! The
only problems the Bavarians have is Edmund Stoiber!! I hope the
guy who killed this poor animal will have a VERY hard time
during the next days and weeks!!!
|
"The Senitel" - good popcorn movie. The cast is great!
Shopping till 12 am - thanks to the World Championship! :) We enjoyed it and had a nice dinner and an even better ice cream at the "Main Taunus Zentrum" near Wiesbaden.
And I found my future car this weekend!!! Love at first sight
*g*

|
|

I can't believe the good weather we have here at the moment!!
For 3 weeks no rain, only sun, not too hot ... I love it. We
spent the afternoon at the pool, got some ice cream and enjoyed
life... now it's football time ;) After Germany wins this match
we're going to the movies :) The stores are open till 12 am -
so it's gonne be a nice evening!

Well, I was quiet for months now. I didn't say anything, didn't post any bad things about other people,
never told those people out there what really happened during the last year and what led to
certain circumstances. I was silent although a lot of
people told me to "do" something.... Maybe I will
now ;) Actually I find it pretty amusing how someone can say
that "stooping down to a certain level" is not
what he wants while doing just that for months now. Such a
pitiable person. Well, the truth will come out someday
and a lot of people will be very surprised ;)
Even more amusing to me is the fact that he somehow can't
get over me. After sooo many months.. people moved on, enjoy
their life, have new/old relationships and hardly think
about what happend a year ago, except him. Posting on his
website nearly every week, posting on boards - always
mentioning me .... I somehow feel flattered *g* But
hey, what do they say "Noone kicks a dead dog". I
once read a book from Dale Carnegie where he says, that
when you are kicked and criticized, remember that it is
often done because it gives the kicker a feeling of
importance. It often means that you are someone and worthy
of attention. Many people get a sense of savage satisfaction
out of denouncing those who are better educated than they
are or more successfull. Remember that unjust critisism if
often a disguised compliment. Well, seems as if he is
right again ;)
I had a pretty hard time first, because his attacks and
lies hurt me very badly. Now my friends and I always laugh
our a* off when we find a new post from him somewhere. It's
a hobby to find the most amusing passage in his post - or -
like one of my friends said, the "Bullshit of the Day" ;) Let's see what comes next and when he finally
will be able to forget me. Hey, I am a pretty impressive
person, hm!? *lol* Until then we will watch his lonesome and
wearisome war - Rumpelstiltskin at his best. ;)
Actually I understand his behaviour a little bit, everybody
deserves a fulfilling relationship and girls just keep
saying "good-bye" to him. I would get frustrated
too, to be honest - but I don't know if I could "stoop
down to that level" ;)
And now to some more important news !!
Our ConBoard provides information to
more than 65 conventions at the
moment- go check it out, if you love cons!
Alex will come to Germany for the weekend - if the
weather stays like it is we will have a lot of fun at the
pool. Also... "The Sentinel" started today, so maybe
we will go to the movies in the evening.
And next week is con time!!!
Some friends and I will fly to London and visit the Film and
Comic Convention. Elijah Wood is scheduled, I hope he
doesn't cancel... I can also update my "LOST" poster with some signatures - yipeeh!

And now it's bedtime - it is 4 am and I
can't sleep, because I am ill - sore throat, headache.. *sniff*...
Rebell wait 'till we meet again - my revenge will be horrid!!
;)))

Leaving for the weekend! BBQ this evening, going to the zoo tomorrow, brunch on Sunday morning... :)
Fun, here I come ;)

Finally - the summer is here! :)
Since last weekend there is sun, sun, sun
in good old Germany! Now - I am leaving for Switzerland tomorrow, so there
better be warm temperatures as well!!! I would love to go to the Zurich lake
again, that's the only thing I miss here in Germany - oh - besides the chocolate
*blush* - but luckily enough there is someone who provides me with the best
chocolate on earth, when I crave it :)
Another good thing leaving Germany for
the weekend is getting away from the football/soccer madness - I can't here the
word "World championship" anymore - I hate it!!! And this will be going on for a
month now *sigh* And now - back in the sun
Ohoh, I got a red nose *g* - too much
sun today... ;) So I will spend the evening at home, typing my business plan
*sigh* and searching for a flight to LA. :) It looks like we are gonna make it
for the convention !! YES!!
And more good news!
THUMB already started to plan their 2007 vacation in Florida. We loved spending 2 weeks there in 2005 and feel like going again - Sunshine State, here we come !!!

I will pick up my husband from the airport tomorrow evening and we will
celebrate the day at the Champions-Bar in Frankfurt.
The weekend
will be: lots of shopping, going to the movies watching X-Men, probably testing
a new restaurant and relax at home. Sounds good, hm?
The only thing I miss is
THE SUN! The summer started today and I wear my winter sweaters - something's
wrong here....

This is going to be great!15 friends and I will go and see and listen to the "Lord of the Rings Symphony" in Cologne.
The concert hall (the biggest in Germany) holds up to 18.000
people! I am already excited, can't wait till Sunday evening! Imagine the atmosphere - imagine the battles, the emotions, the victories of these great movies - they all live in
Howard Shore's music...
The symphony is a six-movement tour de force which presents the soundtrack
music from Peter Jackson's nine-hour film trilogy The Lord of the Rings
in a two-hour opera-like distillation. The symphony captures not only
the sweeping emotion, thrilling vistas, and grand journeys of J.R.R. Tolkien's
literary masterpiece, but also echoes the very construction of Tolkien's
Middle-earth.(henrydoktorski)
